What is B.E.E.
Home Education?

At its heart, B.E.E. Home Education is an innovative online learning pod program that melds the best elements of homeschooling with the structured support of private schooling. It operates on a foundational belief that while parents are the primary educators, they can entrust the day-to-day instruction to our capable hands. B.E.E. goes beyond academics; it is a vibrant community that fosters camaraderie and empathy among its members. Our students enjoy the comfort of "beeing" home while learning and taking part in an engaging, close-knit online community of peers.

B.E.E. champions a unique pedagogical approach through "unit studies" that span the academic year. These studies dive deep into a singular theme each month, interweaving the majority of subjects into a cohesive learning experience. This method nurtures a natural curiosity and a more profound connection to the material, turning learning into an adventure rather than a task. Remember questioning the relevance of what you were taught in school? At B.E.E. Home Education, that question never arises. Our curriculum is built on the principle of real-world application, ensuring that every lesson is not just learned but lived.

About Ms. B

Hi there! My name is Kayla Brinkman and I am a curriculum designer, instructor, and the founder of B.E.E. Home Education. But before I was any of these things, I was a homeschooler. Growing up, I struggled in public, charter, and private schools. The conventional methods of education suppressed natural learning and hindered my ability to thrive. Recognizing this, my mom offered me an alternative through homeschooling—a decision that has profoundly influenced my life and career.

This tailored educational experience allowed me to unlock my full potential, leading me to earn my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in History and Archival Science, with a minor in Special Education. Inspired by my journey, I have now dedicated my career to curriculum development and education, driven by a vision to transform educational practices. I want to change the way parents and teachers approach education and how students view it. Curriculum should be made to fit a learner's needs, not the other way around.
